Hakaluki: A rich hub of biodiversity and livelihood

Bangladesh is blessed with huge inland open water resources. [বাংলাদেশ বিশাল অভ্যন্তরীণ উন্মুক্ত জলসম্পদের আশীর্বাদপুষ্ট।] It has numerous river canals, beels, lakes, and vast areas of floodplains. [হাকালুকি হাওর বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম প্রধান জলাভূমি।] With a land area of 18,386 hectares, it supports a rich biodiversity and provides direct and indirect livelihood benefits to nearly 190,000 people.
