Present perfect continuous tense:

The formula is:

Subject + have/has + been + present participle (-ing) of main verb

She has been drawing a picture for a long time. [সে অনেক দিন ধরে ছবি আঁকছে।]

He has been eating his lunch for a while. [সে কিছুক্ষণ ধরে দুপুরের খাবার খাচ্ছে।]

They have been running in the park for an hour. [ঘণ্টাখানেক ধরে তারা পার্কে দৌড়াচ্ছেন।]

We have been singing a song since this morning. [আজ সকাল থেকে আমরা গান গাইছি।]

Mom has been cooking dinner for a long time. [মা অনেকক্ষণ ধরে রাতের খাবার রান্না করছে।]

The dog has been barking at the cat for a long time. [কুকুরটি অনেকক্ষণ ধরে বিড়ালের দিকে ঘেউ ঘেউ করছে।]

The birds have been flying in the sky all day. [সারাদিন আকাশে পাখিরা উড়ে বেড়ায়।]

The flowers have been growing in the garden for weeks. [কয়েক সপ্তাহ ধরে বাগানে ফুল ফুটছে।]

Examples of using "for" in present perfect continuous tense 

I have been jumping for a long time. [আমি অনেকক্ষণ ধরে লাফাচ্ছিলাম।]

He has been playing with his toys for hours. [সে তার খেলনা নিয়ে ঘন্টার পর ঘন্টা ধরে খেলছে।]

They have been running around the park for a long time. [তারা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে পার্কের আশেপাশে ছুটছেন।]

We have been painting pictures for a while. [আমরা কিছুক্ষণ ধরে ছবি আঁকছি।]

He has been building with his blocks for all day. [সারাদিন ধরে তিনি তার ব্লকগুলো নিয়ে নির্মাণ করছেন।]

They have been laughing and giggling for a while. [তারা কিছুক্ষণ ধরে হাসছে এবং হাসছে।]

She has been practicing her reading for a long time. [তিনি দীর্ঘদিন ধরে তার পড়ার অনুশীলন করছেন।]

I have been eating my snack for a few minutes. [আমি কয়েক মিনিট ধরে আমার নাস্তা খাচ্ছি।]

Examples of using "since" in present perfect continuous tense:

I have been playing since the morning. [সকাল থেকে খেলছি।]

He has been watching TV since he woke up. [ঘুম থেকে ওঠার পর থেকে সে টিভি দেখছে।]

They have been working on their project since yesterday. [গতকাল থেকে তারা তাদের প্রকল্পে কাজ করছে।]

We have been reading our books since lunchtime. [আমরা দুপুরের খাবারের সময় থেকে আমাদের বই পড়ছি।]

He has been drawing since he finished his homework. [সে তার বাড়ির কাজ শেষ করার পর থেকে ছবি আঁকছে।]

They have been practicing their music since last week. [গত সপ্তাহ থেকে তারা তাদের গানের চর্চা করছেন।]
